Food Bank, Homeless Shelter, Non-Profit Organization Coupon Donations Distribution

According to Inamr, a technology company that operates intelligent commerce networks and conducts related research, less than half of 1 percent of Sunday FSI coupons (Free Standing Insert) are ever redeemed. So why not put to good use the over-99 % of these coupons, and any other coupons that are not being used, by donating them to Coupon Donations for distribution to Overseas U.S. Military Bases, Food Banks, Homeless Shelters, and other Charitable Organizations who are in need for such aid?

Grocery coupons, in particular, are a great way to help lower food costs. With a good number of food banks and homeless shelters struggling to meet the needs of their communities, grocery coupons donated to Coupon Donations for organized distribution to food banks, homeless shelters, and other non-profit organizations, can serve as a great resource to help reduce food costs of such non-profit organizations serving the poor, needy and indigent in our communities.

We accept food coupons for nonperishable food items and personal care items. We would prefer that you mail to us coupons that have already been clipped, but we will accept unclipped coupons as well.

Overseas U.S. Military Base Coupon Donations Distribution

Do you happen to have any unused expired manufacturers’ coupons? Don’t throw them away because you could be throwing away savings! Since coupons are not readily available overseas, like they are in the U.S., the 2 main types of stores found in overseas U.S. Military Bases, the Commissaries (similar to grocery stores), and the Exchanges (similar to department stores), have made an agreement with the manufacturers which allows the use of expired manufacturers’ coupons at overseas U.S. Military Bases” Commissaries and Exchanges. So, if you have coupons that have been expired for up to 2 months, please mail them to Coupon Donations!

We accept such donations of manufacturer coupons for groceries (food and non-food), baby supplies, pet supplies, and any other goods that can be useful to overseas US Military Base families. Please remember that overseas U.S. Military Base families can only use manufacturer coupons (you can mail to us coupons found in newspaper, dispensers in grocery stores, tear-pads, and elsewhere, as long as they indicate “Manufacturer’s Coupon” on them). Military Base families will not be able to use store-specific coupons (eg, Walmart coupons), restaurant coupons (eg, McDonald’s coupons), or coupons for businesses local to your city or town.

Please Mail Active and Expired Coupons To:

Charity Donations Inc.
Attn: Coupon Donations
3400 Park Ave, Unit 25
Weehawken, NJ 07086

(Please make sure that any expired coupons have expired within the past 30 days)

Important Coupon Donation Information:

For tax deduction purposes, any postage expense which a donor incurs in relation to shipping coupons to Charity Donations, Attn: Coupon Donations, can be documented with the use of shipping carrier receipts.  (The shipping carrier receipts can be provided by the shipping carriers of  the coupon shipments.)

As for any donated coupons’ value, it may be considered tax deductible, but the determination of any coupons’ value would probably need proof of the coupons’ redemption, prior to their expiration date (or in the case of coupons recipients at overseas US Military Bases, within the allowable post-expiration period), because coupons lose their value after their expiration.

Unfortunately, since we are not the ultimate recipients and users of the donated coupons (we are merely coordinating their distribution), it would be impossible for us to track their use / redemption (if any) by their ultimate recipients.  Moreover, the coupons’ authenticity, validity and applicability can only be assessed at the place and time of use.

Therefore, we are unable to provide any information regarding coupon donations, other than information regarding the weight (in lbs) of the coupon shipments to us (with a disclaimer that any estimated coupon value is the sole responsibility of the donor).   In such cases, the coupon donor would be solely responsible for determining the value of donated coupons, and for any justification / explanation of any donation deductions to any related IRS questions and /or audits.
